International Financial Congress in the Presidential Library

The XXVI International Financial Congress will be held from the 12th to the 14th of July 2017 on the premises of the Presidential Library (3 Senate Square, St. Petersburg, Russian Federation 190000). The library is located in the historical center of the city next to St. Isaac's Cathedral.

This year’s theme of the congress is the “Finance for Development.” During the congress, the Central Bank of Russia will present seven economic and financial studies focused on various aspects of work of current financial system of Russia.

International financial experts will discuss existing tendencies in monetary policy, maintaining economic sustainability, protection the rights of consumers of financial services and investors, modernization and regulation of the banking sector, and the prospects for the financial market. Among the participants are Chairman of Bank of Russia Elvira Nabiullina, St. Petersburg Governor Georgy Poltavchenko, representatives of the Government of the Russian Federation and the Government of St. Petersburg, heads of the largest Russian and foreign banks, and many others.

The International Financial Congress is the largest annual international financial forum in Russia, which traditionally brings together reputable experts, representatives of Russian and foreign authorities, central and commercial banks, financial organizations and the business community.

The Presidential Library is a traditional venue for this event. The institution is the largest multifunctional information and awareness raising, research, educational and cultural center, which building accommodates the electronic reading room and exhibition spaces, a conference hall, as well as a multimedia and television facilities. The Presidential Library actively cooperates with federal and regional libraries, archives, museums, universities, public authorities, mass media, public organizations and individuals, organizes and conducts various scientific and cultural events — symposiums, conferences related to the subject arias of the library stock, business and international meetings of summit level, official ceremonies of national award and concerts.
