Sandy soldiers: from Ice fight to Borodino

On the Poklonnoj grief the exposition of sculptures of Russian soldiers of different epoch which are made from sand has opened. According the information from the press-service of the Western administrative district of Moscow, "sculptors represented the largest battles in the history of Russia: Ice firght, Kulikovsky fight, the Borodino battle in which sandy soldiers" combat "with the enemy". "Monumental figures are very fragile. Therefore, to save sculpture, its constantly solutioned of glue PVA with water. It allows to keep compositions long time and to give the chance to all wishing to see masterpieces from sand", - have added in the press-service. The sand exhibition on a grief Poklonnoj will last till September, 28th. Organizers assure that no weather conditions will prevent sculptures to "stand".
