Society and Culture: Interactive exhibition to be prepared to the anniversary of the Russian Academy of Arts

In the gallery of arts of the Russian Academy of Arts (Moscow) there will be held an interactive exhibition dedicated to the 260th anniversary of the creation of the Imperial Russian Academy of Arts. It will run from September 19 to October 22, 2017 and will be supported by the Ministry of Culture of Russia.

The exposition will include at least 650 exhibits reflecting the development of the Imperial - Russian Academy of Arts from the time it was founded to the present day.

In addition, the special section "New Technologies" presents visitors helmets of virtual reality and allows immersing themselves in the atmosphere of the Academy's history.

The Academy of Arts was established in Petersburg in November 1757 on the initiative of Mikhail Lomonosov and the famous enlightener Ivan Shuvalov. In 1764 the Academy of Arts received the status of the Imperial Academy, in 1947 it was transformed into the Academy of Arts of the USSR and moved to Moscow, and from 1992 it was transformed into the Russian Academy of Arts. Creative workshops PAH work in Moscow, Petersburg, Kazan and Krasnoyarsk. There are also regional offices in the Urals, Siberia, the Volga region and the Far East.
