The resources of the Presidential Library at the International Arctic Forum

Accredited at the International Arctic Forum journalists received a chance to get to the thematic collection of the Presidential Library entitled The Arctic - Territory of Dialogue.” It is in open access on the Presidential Library website www.prlib.ru as well at all workplaces of the media representatives in the forum press center.

The name of the collection, which includes unique documents, books, review of the expeditions, photographs and newsreels, is not accidentally called just like the largest international event taking place in Arkhangelsk on March 29 and 30, 2017.

On the eve of the opening of the forum in Arkhangelsk the Presidential Library featured a collection at the regional college of culture and arts. It was mentioned that the third in the city electronic reading room of the Presidential Library would be launched here in 2017. Besides students it will serve as a resource and methodological center for occupational and advanced professional training for library staff in the Arkhangelsk Oblast and the Nenets Autonomous District. In addition, if the possibilities of the new electronic reading room will be combined with two other halls in the Northern (Arctic) Federal University and in the Arkhangelsk Regional Scientific Library named after N. A. Dobrolyubov, the local region residents will have an opportunity to participate actively in conferences, webinars, lectures and other projects of the Presidential Library.

Within the framework of the information interaction the Presidential Library offered the cultural institutions of the Arkhangelsk Oblast the electronic books, photographs and film materials from the mentioned above collection named “The Arctic - Territory of Dialogue.” It was emphasized that this is the continuation of interaction within the framework of building of the regional network of the Presidential Library, which connects more than 300 centers of access to its resources in 85 regions of the Russian Federation.
