The Day of Russian Flag was celebrated in Bishkek

August 22, 2017 in the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Bishkek was celebrated the Day of the National Flag of the Russian Federation.

Young compatriots, participants of the program of short-term study visits to historical places of Russia "Hello, Russia!", as well as their parents gathered for the celebratory meeting.

The crowd was greeted by the head of the Rossotrudnichestvo office in the Kyrgyz Republic Eduard Krustkaln.

Participants watched a documentary video about the history of the Russian flag. The guests of the RCSC in Bishkek told about their trip to Saint-Petersburg within the framework of the "Hello, Russia!" program, which ended on the eve. Accompanying the Kyrgyz delegation, Olga Dzhabrailova and Vladimir Kiselyov expressed gratitude to the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Kyrgyzstan for the opportunity to visit the northern capital of Russia.  

After the meeting, the guys received souvenirs with Russian tricolor as a gift, and also got familiar with the photo exhibition and the exhibition of books on the Day of the State Flag of Russia.

The Presidential Library portal contains illustrations from the “Album of Standards, Flags and Pennants of the Russian Empire and Foreign Countries” (1890), as well as the “Album of Flags and Pennants of the Russian Socialist Federative Soviet Republic, Union Soviet Republics and Foreign States” (1923).

The documentary film "Symbols of Presidential Authority", prepared by the Presidential Library in the framework of the "Presidential Chronicle" project, tells about the history of the flag, as well as the standard and the sign of the President of Russia.
