In November 2011, a number of events were held in the Presidential Library for the jubilee of the great Russian scientist MV Lomonosov. Among them is the opening of the exhibition "The State Mind of Great Latitude", the basis of the exposition is made up of rare book editions of the Presidential Library and the State Polytechnic University, archival documents of the Russian State Historical Archive, the St. Petersburg branch of the Archive of the Academy of Sciences. In addition, MV Lomonosov was devoted to the first lectures, read in the newly opened in the Presidential Library. B.N. Yeltsin's video lecture hall. Director of the Institute of Linguistic Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Academician NN Kazansky delivered a lecture "Lomonosov as a reformer of the Russian language." The theme of "Lomonosov as a state and public figure" was highlighted by the professor of St. Petersburg State University, head of the department of scientific publications of the RSAA DI Raskin. Lecture "Lomonosov - Our Contemporary" was also presented by Prof. Severnoe (Arctic) Federal University, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences TS Butorina (Arkhangelsk). On the same day, the Presidential Library hosted a meeting of schoolchildren with the author of popular scientific books for teenagers Yu.D.
