In accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation dated 18 June 2007 (№ 326-rp) Boris Yeltsin Presidential Library should have branches in every Region of the Russian Federation.
At present time Library’s management is carrying out the plan of setting up the regional branches in 2010.

On July 19, 2017, as part of the celebration of the 530th anniversary of the Moscow Kremlin, the specialists of the Regional Center for Access to Information Resources of the Presidential Library held the Information Day "Sights of the Moscow Kremlin" at the I. Y. Franko Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library.
July 17, an event dedicated to one of the most tragic and bloody events in Russian history was held in the access center of the Presidential Library of the State Universal Scientific Library of the Krasnoyarsk Territory - the execution of the royal family of the Romanovs - "Nicholas II. The tragedy of the last Russian emperor".
The cooperation of the Presidential Library with the Kabardino-Balkaria Republic has been developing since 2016. November 15, 2016, an agreement was signed on cooperation with the Kh. M. Berbekov Kabardino-Balkar State University.
June 28, 2017 in the Volgograd regional center of the Presidential Library, running on the basis of the M. Gorky Regional Universal Scientific Library, was held an informal event "At a distance of thought", devoted to the propaganda of reading among the youth.
The cooperation of the Presidential Library with the Vladimir region has been developing since 2013. On May 6, 2013, a cooperation agreement was signed with M. Gorky Vladimir Regional Universal Scientific Library.
The Regional Center for Access to Information Resources of the Presidential Library of the I. Y. Franko Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library, with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Crimea, conducted a photo contest "People's Memory" on the eve of Victory Day, the main goal of which is to preserve historical memory of the events of the Great Patriotic War in Crimea in 1941-1945.
