The films of the biologist Pavel Glazkov will be screened at the Presidential Library cinema club

May 22, 2018 at 16:00, on the International Day for Biological Diversity, at the Presidential Library cinema club will be held a creative meeting with the author of films about animals in Russia, Candidate of Biological Sciences Pavel Glazkov. The program includes screening and discussion of the author’s three short films, who also keeps a video blog "Two of Every Kind", the founder of the project "New Zoological Museum".

Glazkov's films combine scientific certainty and fascinating narration about the life of animals inhabiting the Leningrad region.

The hero of the first film is the European (or western) moose, it is distinguished by a flat chestnut-brown or gray-brown coat color. The second film - "Wild boar or wild pig" - will tell about the forest life of an animal that looks like a domesticated but possessing all the habits of a predatory beast. The third film will reveal some secrets and extraordinary abilities of the ordinary (or river) beaver and explain why this animal has enlarged the list of the Red Book.
