Presidential Library to show “Tom Sawyer Fest: Walking on the Scaffolding” film

The film “Tom Sawyer Fest: Walking on the Scaffolding” will be shown as part of the cinema club meeting on October 1, 2018, 3 p.m. to mark the upcoming Annual Integration Forum of the Presidential Library.

The film is about the civil initiative for restoration of ramshackle, mainly wooden houses of historical significance. This youth voluntary movement appeared in Samara in 2015. Over the past three years young people from 28 cities of our country have joined this association.

Members of the cinema club will watch the film and sum up the results of completed work, address main problems, opportunities and prospects of the future work of voluntary projects. “Tom Sawyer” activists from different cities will join the discussion in real time.

A multimedia exhibition of photographs, presenting the results of cooperation between the voluntary movement and sponsors, will be launched to coincide with the meeting of the cinema club of the Presidential Library and “Tom Sawyer Fest: Walking on the Scaffolding” screening.

The importance of such photomoments is the subject of another event of the Annual Integration Forum. The roundtable discussion “Contemporary History in Photographs – The Chronicle of Our Time” is opening in the Presidential Library on October 4, 2018.

Please, note that to enter the Presidential Library you need to submit advance notice and show your passport: participants and guests of the event use entrance № 1, media representatives go through entrance № 2.
