The Presidential Library to focus on current issues of legislation in the electronic environment

The Presidential Library will host events of the annual Legal Forum, which will be attended by scientists, teachers, post-graduate students, graduate students, leaders and employees of state and local government bodies and institutions, legal specialists, employees of libraries and other institutions providing access to legal information. The main events of the Legal Forum will be broadcasted live on the Presidential Library’s portal.

As part of the Legal Forum, on April 18, 2019, at 10:00, the IX Annual Scientific and Practical Conference on Legal Regulation in the Electronic Environment “Law and Information: Theoretical and Practical Issues”, dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Presidential Library will be held. Participants of the event will focus on issues of information law theory, the practice of its implementation and application, improvement of information legislation and legislation on librarianship, legal aspects of establishing a unified Russian electronic knowledge space, ensuring access to legal information, legal regulation of the use of information technologies, development of e-government, digital economy, mass media. The purpose of the event is to discuss the current results of scientific research of national and foreign information legislation and related industries, the experience of law enforcement in the conditions of the digitalization process of modern society.

E-registration of conference’s participants is open on the Presidential Library’s portal in “Conferences” section. It also features materials of previous conferences. Remote participation via video-conferencing mode will be provided.

The conference’s materials will be published in the annual edition of the Presidential Library – collected works of the “Electronic Legislation” series.

The program of the Legal Forum - 2019 includes expert hearings on the theme “The principle of consistency in law: historical experience and prospects”, which will be held on April 9 at the Presidential Library and will be timed to two anniversaries in the history of the state and law of Russia: the 370th anniversary of the adoption of the Council Code Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich and the 470th anniversary of the convocation of the first Zemsky Sobor. The hearing starts at 11:00. Registration of participants is available on the Presidential Library’s portal.

The materials of the hearings will be published in the annual edition of the Presidential Library – collected woks of the “Historical Jurisprudence” series.

 

Accreditation of media representatives to the conference “Law and Information: Theoretical and Practical Issues” is available until 10:00, April 17, 2019.
