The documentary, filmed by the film group of the Presidential Library "The Holy Synod", tells about the history of the building on Senate Square, 3, where the Synod was located, as well as about the Synod printing house, the library of the Moscow Theological Seminary, the chief prosecutors and members of the Synod, the missionary activities of the Synod, the Synodal Library.

Another film, “Smolny”, which will be broadcast on the Presidential Library's portal, will present the history of the famous building in the context of the revolutionary events of 1917: users will learn about the Smolny Institute for Noble Maidens located here, about the activities of the Petrograd Soviet of Workers 'and Soldiers' Deputies. On the eve of the 76th anniversary of the Great Victory Day, the Presidential Library provides screening of two documentary films of its own production. The video film "One Victory for All" is about the invaluable contribution to the victory in the Great Patriotic War of all sixteen socialist republics that were part of the USSR, about the united struggle of peoples against fascism; photographs of monuments, military memorial cemeteries, obelisks dedicated to the Victory are shown.

The film "Praying for the Fallen" tells about the memorial church of the holy martyrs Adrian and Natalia, which is dedicated to those who died and disappeared during the defence of Leningrad from the Nazi invaders. The parish of the church is actively involved in perpetuating the memory of the fallen defenders of Leningrad: the Museum of Military Glory "DOT" has been created, a memorial park has been laid out around the church. The film also touches on the moral aspects. Thus, the rector of the church, Archpriest Mikhail Strelnikov, expresses his opinion: what is the meaning of losses and why do terrible wars occur?
