Society and Book Culture: Exhibition “Book graphics based on Mikhail Sholokhov’s works” underway in Rostov Region

An exhibition “Book graphics based on Mikhail Sholokhov’s works” is opening on June 26 2018 at the “People’s House” Excursion and Exhibition Center in Vyoshenskaya rural locality (stanitsa in Rostov Region). It  puts on display the works of famous artists-illustrators from the museum-reserve’s collection.

Visitors will have a chance to see illustrations of Orest Vereisky, Yuri Rebrov, Victor Galdyaev, Vladimir Baklanov, Valentina Petrova and Leonid Petrov, and the Kukryniksy. All the works are a result of creative search attempts and solutions. Each of the illustrators is unique in the style of the picture, and brilliant images of the episodes from the works "And Quiet Flows the Don", "Virgin Soil Upturned", "Don Stories", "The Fate of a Man" and "They Fought for their Country" give a chance to discover the bright and passionate world of Mikhail Sholokhov’s characters and interpret the works in a new way.
