Museums of Russia: Exhibition “The Collection of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg. Highlights” mounted at the Peter and Paul Fortress

The exhibition “The Collection of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg. Highlights” will be open until September 15, 2018 in the Engineer’s House at the Peter and Paul Fortress (St. Petersburg).

The State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg — is one of the city’s major museums, that was founded more than 100 years ago. Twenty-four collections of the museum consist of over 1,3 million items, which provide a survey of the history of the city on the Neva River from the moment of its foundation to the present day. The exhibition showcases around 300 highlights from the collection of the State Museum of the History of St. Petersburg: paintings, items of graphic arts and the decorative and applied arts, documents, photographs, postcards, costumes and household items of the 18th - 21st cc.
