Society and culture: Vasily Polenov’s works to be showcased in Moscow

October 16, 2019 the State Tretyakov Gallery will feature the exhibition "Vasily Polenov". It will present works of one of the largest Russian artists of the second half of the XIX - the first decades of the XX century.

The exhibition will showcase more than 150 works from the collections of 16 Russian museums and private collections that cover different periods and aspects of Polenov’s works: landscapes and portraits, historical paintings, paintings of the gospel series, sketches of theater sets and architectural projects.
