Internet and History of Moscow: "Discover Moscow" portal to feature the history of the capital's places of interest online

The "Discover Moscow" portal provides an opportunity of visiting interesting places in the capital and study the history of tour highlights without leaving homes. The top 10 most popular virtual tours of the project included online excursions on the roofs of historical buildings, as well as the Petrovsky Palace, Pashkov House, and old mansions in the Moscow center.

18 virtual tours around the capital are available to portal users. They can be found on the "Discover Moscow" website in the "Houses" section.

The "Discover Moscow" portal is a joint project of the Moscow departments of information technology, culture, cultural heritage, education, and science. An interactive guide to the capital's places of interest contains descriptions of more than 2 000 buildings and structures, 635 monuments, 327 museums, 196 territories, information about 207 historical figures, 127 thematic walking routes, and 53 quests. Users also have access to the "Discover Moscow" smartphone application, which can be downloaded from the App Store and Google Play.
