Internet and Culture: "Kultura.RF" portal launched the "Peredvizhniki: From Academic Drawings to Independence" project marking the 150th anniversary of the Society for Russian State Archive of Literature and Art June 30, 2020

The Kultura.RF portal presents the anniversary project "Peredvizhniki: From Academic Drawings to Independence" marking the 150th anniversary of the Society for Travelling Art Exhibitions.

150 years ago, artists from Moscow and Saint-Petersburg founded the Society for Travelling Art Exhibitions, which existed more than half a century. A special project will feature the history of its establishment, founders and world-famous artists who exhibited their works at Travelling Art Exhibitions. Users may watch video lectures and documentaries and read detailed descriptions of paintings to understand their authors.

The project was arranged along with "Eksmo" Publishing House, which releases the book "Peredvizhniki. Travelling Artists and the Most Important Paintings of the Late XIX - Early XX Century". The special project publishes some excerpts from the book.
