Marking the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples: Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk to host the exhibition "Udyl is My Cradle"

The Sakhalin Regional Art Museum (Yuzhno-Sakhalinsk) is marking the International Day of the World's Indigenous Peoples (celebrating annually on August 9). It presents a personal exhibition of Nikolai Dyavgoda - the Ulch master, artist, member of the Designers' Union of the Russian Federation, member of the Khabarovsk branch of the Russian Geographical Society. The exposition is entitled "Udyl is My Cradle".

Since 2000, the artist has been participating in the district and regional exhibitions of arts and crafts. Nikolai Nikolaevich Dyavgoda creates not only pieces of applied art, but also paintings, sculptures. These paintings were the first artworks of the representatives of the indigenous peoples of North and Amur Regions that entered the museum's collection. The artist's artworks give a new perception of the ancient images, beliefs and rituals of the Ulchi people.
