History and Culture: Pskov Regional Scientific Library to host the "Mikhailovskoye. Pushkin's Study Space" exhibition from the collection of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve

17 September 2020

The Pskov Regional Scientific Library opened the "Mikhailovskoye. Pushkin's Study Space" exhibition from the collection of the Pushkin Museum-Reserve. The exposition features 26 large photographs, which showcase not only the poet's study space in the Pskov village but also other interiors of the house-museum in Mikhailovskoye, views of the Pushkin family estate. The exhibition's title appeals to the well-known statement of the poet that "...Petersburg is a lobby, Moscow is a maid's room, the village is our study space".

Authors of photographs are Nikolai Alekseev from Pushkinskiye Gory and Alexei Lazarev from Moscow. It is not the first presentation of this joint project. Previously, it has been shown both in Russia (Moscow) and in the neighbouring countries (Moldova, Belarus).

The exhibition "Mikhailovskoye. Pushkin's Study Space" will run in Pskov until September 30.
