Science and Society: State Darwin Museum to participate in the All-Russian Science Festival in Moscow

10 October 2020

On October 10, 2020, the State Darwin Museum will be one of the venues of the All-Russian Science Festival once again. The festival program includes the launch of two large museum projects based on the modern augmented reality technology, a new exhibition "Injuries of the Past" about the survey of the ancient human bones, interactive lessons about the nature of sound "Waves Around and Inside Us" and "Bioacoustics".

The "Code of Life" quest is available for festival participants all day long. It is one of the first AR quests in the world and the longest museum quest in Russia - the route takes more than 2000 square meters of museum exposition from the start to the final. Participants will have to interact with real museum exhibits in AR mode, carry out tasks of the MAX-2057 artificial intelligence, solve puzzles and look for "keys" and help messages hidden in the exposition.

Also, there will be a presentation of the international Google Arts & Culture AR project. The Darwin Museum and the London Museum of Natural History created digital images of prehistoric animals, which are available without leaving home in AR mode.
