Libraries of Russia: “France, as it is…” at the National Library of Tatarstan

The Foreign Literature Department of the National Library of Tatarstan has launched series of events entitled “France, as it is…”, which marked the Year of France in Russia and the Year of Russia in France. The events attracted pupils of school №62 and students of the Kazan State University. The presentation was aimed to familiarize participants with the country of the language, they are studying, its culture and traditions.

The program included an excursion to the Foreign Literature Department, exposition of academic, fiction literature and textbooks in French, view of the video clip with French native speakers.

What is more, pupils and students were welcome to participate in the educational quiz “All roads lead to Paris” and an entertaining contest, dedicated to holidays observed in France. In the end of the presentation all the participants received memorable gifts, and those interested were given permanent library cards.
