Internet resources: Yahoo! to launch representation in Russia

The American portal Yahoo! is going to open its representation in Russia, "RBK daily" informs.

According to the newspaper, the project will need extra managers. Moreover, Yahoo! is conducting negotiations with an investment company "Finam" on purchasing of several assets. The Russian office is supposed to be subordinated to the European.

Currently Russian version of Yahoo! Service has been practically undeveloped. Its links go to the portal’s foreign services. News for the home page is provided by BBC News Russian service.

Yahoo! is the second major search engine after Google in the USA. The latter has been for several years working on the Russian market. What is more, the third largest American search engine Bing also provides Russian version.
