Libraries of Russia: The round table “Great Patriotic War through the prism of history” at the Murmansk Library

On April, 6 the Murmansk Regional Universal Scientific Library is holding a meeting within the framework of the round table “Great Patriotic War through the prism of history”.

The event has been organized by the Regional Scientific Library jointly with the regional Institute of skills improvement of educational and culture sectors’ specialists. It will bring together teachers of history and social science of Murmansk oblast. They are going to share expertise in teaching the history of the Great Patriotic War, and encouraging patriotic feelings among the youth. The Library staff are going to highlight the advantages of electronic resources in information retrieval regarding casualties and missing soldiers of the Great Patriotic War. Participants of the round table will have a chance to visit the exposition of editions from the library’s holdings. The exhibition of documents from private archives of members of Murmansk genealogical society “There is no such a family in Russia, which doesn’t recognize its own hero” will also kick off within the framework of the event. It will be represented by the Chairman of the society Igor V. Bronnikov.
