Information technology and security: International Forum on cyber security in Germany

The concept of an international legal instrument governing the behavior in the global information cyberspace discuss the participants of V International Forum "Partnership of the State, business and civil society in ensuring information security and counteraction to terrorism" opened April 25, 2011 in Germany.

"Participants of the Forum, taking place in a German town of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, will discuss, in particular, the conceptual provisions of international legal document regulating behavior in cyberspace, scientific, technological and legal problems of countering cyber attacks, the tasks of countering the use of Internet for terrorist purposes", - said the representative of the Organizing Committee of the Forum.

According to him, in the framework of the Forum a regular meeting of the International Research Consortium of Information Security, integrating expert organizations from ten countries around the world will be held.

The Forum, which ends on April 27, was organized by the Institute for Information Security Issues (IISI),   the M. V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, under the auspices of the Russian Security Council. The initiative group also includes representatives from relevant authorities, business, the leading IT-companies.
