World Book and Copyright Day: International Theoretical and Practical Seminar “Russian literature of 21st c.: guides and orientation” in St. Petersburg

April 21, 2011 the National Library of Russia (St. Petersburg) launched the International Theoretical and Practical Seminar “Russian Literature of 21st c.: guides and orientation”.

The seminar is timed to the World Book and Copyright Day celebrated on April 23. The seminar has brought together people of different jobs and therefore different viewpoints – writers, publishers, literary critics, librarians, philologists, sociologists, school teachers and higher education pedagogues.

The seminar has been organized by the Russian Literature Department at the State Russian Herzen Pedagogical University, North Western Institute of Printing of the St. Petersburg University of Technology and Design, Reading Center of the National Library of Russia, Live Classics Association, the Center for Modern Literature Studies of the Russian State University for the Humanities (Moscow).
