Presidential Library webcast Governor’s Readings held in Tyumen

On October 4th 2011 all Internet users were offered a chance to attend the Governor’s Readings, which kicked off on this day at Tyumen Regional Scientific Library. Live webcast of the event was accessible on Presidential Library’s portal.

The keynote address was delivered by the Candidate in Political Science, Director General of the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion, Professor of the Higher School of Economics - V. V. Fedorov. The theme of the report – “Public call for modernization: content and problems”.

“Governor’s Readings” project has been running since 2010 under the aegis of the Governor of Tyumen Region V. V. Yakushev. This is a series of public lectures which turn the spotlight on various aspects of global, Russia’s and regional modernization. Lectures are conducted by prominent experts of Russia – economists, political scientists and sociologists.

The first regional event webcasted on the Presidential Library’s portal was the inauguration ceremony of 10th International Week “Dialogue of Cultures – The Culture of Dialogue”. The conference was held in Kostroma, September 5th–10th 2011.
