Information technology and security: Kaspersky ONE, new product for home users presented

"Kaspersky Lab" presented at the Russian market a new product for home users - Kaspersky ONE. This versatile solution with a single activation code allows you to protect up to five different personal devices - from PCs and laptops on Windows and Mac to smart phones and tablets.

Nowadays, many people simultaneously use several personal devices. A laptop and a desktop computer are often side by side with the smart phone and tablet. According to "Kaspersky Lab", more than 40% of the inhabitants of Russian big cities have at home 2 - 3 devices with Internet access and the ability to store large amounts of information. Approximately 6.5% of households in metropolitan areas already have a full set of modern gadgets (home PC, laptop, smart phone, tablet). However, all these personal devices are vulnerable to cyber attacks.

Kaspersky ONE enables to protect up to five different devices, regardless their combination. Security of each one is provided by individual security solution, designed for the respective operating system.

The solution allows for full protection of desktops and laptops running Windows and Mac from viruses, Trojans, spam, hacker attacks and other threats. Kaspersky ONE ensures high level of protection for mobile devices using such platforms as Blackberry, Windows Mobile, Symbian and Android, and lets you know the location of the smart phone, or remotely wipe data from it in case of loss or theft of the device using the Anti-Theft tool.

The solution is specially designed to protect tablet PCs running Android from all types of malicious software for mobile devices. The application provides basic protection of your personal data and has a convenient user interface that is optimized for tablets.

Install and activate Kaspersky ONE in any of the devices is a simple task, because it uses the same activation code for all five gadgets. The user gets a single solution to protect them all and can compose any set of devices depending on his preferences and needs of his relatives.

On the Russian market, Kaspersky One can be purchased online from February 1, 2012. The solution provides protection for the user-selected set of personal devices during a year.
