Marking the 67th anniversary of Great Victory: Unique communication facilities of the World War II exhibited in Moscow

May 15, 2012 the Central Museum of Great Patriotic War on Poklonnaya Hill in Moscow is hosting a presentation of a special exhibition dedicated to the 67th anniversary of the Soviet people's victory over Nazi Germany - "Technical Means of Communication during the World War II." The exhibition features a part of the exhibits of the Mastertel Telephone History Museum, that is more than 50 telephone and telegraph sets.

The exhibition also presents the famous military field telephone EE-8 B with magneto ringing in a leather case with a shoulder strap (it was produced in the U.S. in the 1940s and shipped to the Soviet Union); a lightweight portable apparatus for the telephone test service, as well as measuring devices for communication lines’ service.

In addition, the exhibition displays radio communications from the funds of the Central Museum of Great Patriotic War, such as an element of the RBSF-3 radio station providing communication between terminal services and aircrafts - CSS-P radio set and BSR-3 radio station used as a teaching aid in the Solovki sea cadet school.
