Electronic resources: “ProQuest Day” in Saint-Petersburg

September 25, 2012 the fundamental Library of the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia in Saint-Petersburg holds the annual major event – “ProQuest Day”. ProQuest Company is one of the world’s largest suppliers of electronic information.

The purpose of the event is to present a vast array of electronic information in the field of engineering, natural sciences, humanities and social sciences, as well as to learn with unique services that are specially designed to work with electronic resources that leading universities and libraries around the world use in scientific research and to support the learning process.

A rich program includes presentations of resources, new proposals and projects of ProQuest, training, "live show" of products, and direct contact with key specialists. Much attention will be paid to the new platform of ProQuest - a powerful search tool to solve the problem of effective research support through getting quick and accurate results possible with any amount of information. The functionality of the platform, search engine, storage, processing of information, and access to the global information space - will be showcased online.

A separate part of the program will be devoted to a detailed presentation of Summon - a new generation of information service created for integrated access to all kinds of resources and management.
