The Royal Palace of Milan has opened a large-scale exhibition of works by Pablo Picasso. It features more than two hundred works from the National Museum of the artist in Paris. They were passed to France after the death of the great Spaniard by its successors.

The works cover the entire artist's lifetime. The exhibition includes paintings, sculptures, ceramics, paintings, works for "Russian Ballet" of Diaghilev. Many of these works have never left the walls of the Paris museum.

Milan will become the only city in Europe where the traveling exhibition has stopped, which took place earlier in the De Young Museum in San Francisco, the Chinese Pavilion in Shanghai, the Art Gallery of New South Wales in Sydney and the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto. The Milan project involves more works than exhibitions in other cities.

The exhibition runs till February 13, 2013.
