History of Saint-Petersburg: Events, dedicated to the Memory Day of the victims of the Siege of Leningrad

Events, dedicated to the Memory Day of the victims of the Siege of Leningrad are taken place in Leningrad on September 8, 2012.

On this day are held mourning ceremony of the laying of wreaths and flowers at gravesites of soldiers, defenders and residents of besieged Leningrad.

A folk military-historical action "City of Heroes" dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the siege is held at the Champ de Mars, and the action of "We Remember" - on the St. Isaac's Square in St. Petersburg.

At 16.00 an Action to the memory of the victims of the siege of Leningrad is taken place in Solyanoi Lane.

The city administration prepares exhibitions, meetings of veterans, the lessons of courage, on the memory Day of the Siege, as well as in libraries and cultural centers of St. Petersburg.
