Internet and society: The pilot version of the Internet resource “Archives – to school” is introduced

January 31, 2013 the Federal Archive Agency presents a pilot version of an Internet resource, “Archives – to school”, prepared by the Federal Archive Agency, the State Archive of the Russian Federation (SARF), with the participation of the Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History (RSASPH), the Russian State Archive of Scientific technical documentation (RSASTD), the Russian State Film and Photo Archive (RSACFA), the Archive of the President of the Russian Federation (AP RF).

The web site “Archives – to school” is established in accordance with requests and wishes expressed by the delegates of the First All-Russian Congress of teachers of history and social science, held in Moscow in spring 2011.  

The web site is housed at the portal “Archives of Russia” and contains a collection of images of archival documents, reflecting the most important moments of the national history and provided with explanatory texts and the navigation system.  Currently, users are referred to learn with images of archival documents on two topics: “The movement of the Decembrists” and “The Nuclear Project in the USSR”.
