Memorable dates of Russia: A series of lectures dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Constitution of the Russian Federation started in the State Duma

March 14, 2013 in the State Duma there were discussed issues of holding events to mark the 20th anniversary of the Constitution and the Federal Assembly. This has been the subject of the meeting of the Presidium of the Council of legislators, which was attended by Chairman of the State Duma Sergei Naryshkin and Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko.

In his speech, Chairman of the State Duma reminded his colleagues that year 2013 is special: in April 27, for the first time will be officially celebrated the day of Russian parliamentary, and in December of this year, Russia will mark the 20th anniversary of the Constitution and the Federal Assembly.

In addition, Sergei Naryshkin has announced a series of lectures, which began on March 18 speech of the Chairman of the State Duma. He said: “The lectures will be read by the first persons of agencies guarding law and order in the country: the management of the Constitutional and Supreme Courts, the Prosecutor General and the relevant ministries and agencies. Lectures will be spoken by our colleagues from the Chamber, as well - the heads of relevant committees of the State Duma and the Federation Council”.

Speaking on the Day of Russian parliamentary, Chairman of the Council Federation Valentina Matvienko suggested that the date April 27 could be the official day of the announcement to the Federal Assembly.

Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Constitutional Legislation and State Construction Vladimir Pligin informed that the State Duma planned to hold 68 events, and the key of which will be: an open lesson of parliamentary in school on September 1, the joint meeting of the chambers and the event with international parliamentarians.
