Internet and Russian regions: About half of Moscow services and departments use typical Internet portals

More than a hundred of capital services and agencies have moved their web sites on a typical solution. As reported in the Department of Information Technologies of Moscow, it has allowed 4 times reduce operating costs for the establishment and maintenance of each web site and make the city Internet resources more convenient for use.

The typical solution, as emphasized by the city authorities, “simplifies to appeal to official resources, united by a common pattern and design”. In addition, any text and audio materials are now available for download, all the portals provide version for the visually impaired.

“All the typical portals of city services are unified under a single web space of the city, which creates additional opportunities for search engine optimization and integration with external services, - they said at the IT department of Moscow. – A single search, services of organizations of opinion polls and sharing media content can simultaneously cover an unlimited number of online resources”. They added that at present, experts are testing a “personal account”, which will be the single point of entry for the urban thematic resources and single-site notification when providing online services.
