6 September 2013

The Museum-Reserve "Dmitrov Kremlin" (the Moscow region) has presented two exhibitions - "The Assumption Cathedral - the spiritual center of Dmitrov earth" and "Museum: time and expositions".

The exhibition, dedicated to the 500th anniversary of the cathedral, presents the manuscript fragments of white stone decoration, tabernacles, felony (upper liturgical vestments of an Orthodox priest). Icons from  the Assumption Cathedral are accompanied by explanatory text and the chronology of events of the cathedral history. The latest multimedia technology, organically included in the exposition of the museum and exhibition practice, enable you to see the stages of development of the ancient monuments of the city, to track changes in its appearance.

The second exhibition of the Dmitrov Museum tells the story of its 95-year history. It is shown through the items received by the funds from various sources: gifts from the residents, the findings during research expeditions, product samples of local businesses. In the photos you can see the old museum expositions.
