Memory of Russia: Exhibition, dedicated to the memory of Simeon Stepanovich Geychenko, in Pskov
November 20, 2013 in Pskov Regional Universal Scientific Library in anticipation of the upcoming 180th anniversary of the Pskov provincial library opened an art exhibition “Attributed as the house…” from the collections of the museum-reserve “Mikhailovskoe”.
This exhibition was prepared for the 110th anniversary of Simeon Stepanovich Geychenko – “Guardian of Pushkin Hills”, the legendary art dealer and author of the books, which are still relevant and popular among readers, scholars and researchers of his heritage.
This exhibition of 110 photographs – by the number of jubilee years, and Simeon Stepanovich is not presented not smart but very human.
The exhibition also presents literary works written by S. S. Geychenko in different years. This exhibition, undoubtedly, will be interesting to Pskovians and guests of the Pskov region who remember Simeon Stepanovich, who read his wonderful books and articles.
Simeon Stepanovich Geychenko - from 1945 by 1993 is the Director of the museum-reserve “Mikhailovskoe”. Thanks to him, after the war, were restored Pushkin places in Pskov, and in the years of his directorship people went to Mikhailovskoye not only to meet with the great Russian poet, but also to see and hear the Custodian Reserve.
