Memory of Russia: Solemn events dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the end of the World War I in Saint-Petersburg

November 11, 2013 at the Military Historical Museum of Artillery, Engineers and Signal Corps (St. Petersburg) are held celebrations dedicated to the 95th anniversary of the end of World War I.

The Museum of Artillery will be the first platform where will be given honors to heroes of the World War I.

The hall №2 (History of artillery from the middle of the XIX century to1917) will take away battle flags of the World War I, where a military band will play with a welcoming address by representatives of the Ministry of Defence and the Administration of St. Petersburg, the guests of honor.

As part of the event it will be held a ceremony of donating to the museum by V. N. Dmitriev of 31 subjects of the World War I, including uniforms, weapons, photographs and others.

An important event promises to be an exhibition of one painting “The horror of war. Reached! (the Russian infantry attack on the German trenches)” by the artist P. P. Karyagin.
