Peoples of Russia: Exhibition “The pages of history of peoples of the Northern Caucasus” at the National Museum of Kabardino-Balkaria

The exhibition “The pages of history of the peoples of the Northern Caucasus” opened at the National Museum of Kabardino-Balkaria (Nalchik). The exposition has historical value, and to a wide audience reveals many unknown facts of history.

The exposition features artifacts of the past hundred years of the history of the region. Among them - a series of unique Circassian sabers and a cycle of paintings of the famous Russian artist Peter Pokarzhevsky, maps, military sketches and letters, recently declassified archival service of FSB of Russia. Some of the exhibits, such as costumes, silver jewelry, weapons - from the vaults of the National Museum of Kabardino-Balkaria. Some part is brought from Moscow - from the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia. Among them are everyday objects, a series of photographs taken in the Caucasus a hundred years ago.
