World history: Collection of multimedia materials “Great and unknown” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the World War I released

Commissioned by Rossotrudnichestvo it is released a collection of multimedia materials "Great and unknown", dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the World War I.

A collection of multimedia content includes text, graphics, video and auditory information about the main commemorative events and historical events related to the outbreak of the World War I, its causes and consequences for the world's history, key events, the role of Russia in the war and its heroes.

The materials of the collection are presented in 15 thematic units in Russian, English, German and French.

The documents from the State Archives of the Russian Federation, the Russian State Military Historical Archive, the State Historical Museum, the State Russian Museum, the State Hermitage Museum, the Museum of military costume, private collections in Russia, Belarus, Latvia, the USA, Ukraine and Estonia were used.

In the creation of audio materials are used recordings of marches regiments of the Russian Imperial Army and songs of times of the World War I from private collections.

The collection is intended for the organization and conduction abroad by Rossotrudnichestvo of thematic exhibitions, presentations and other commemorative events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the World War I.
