Memorable dates of Russia: Documentary exhibition, dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the birth of F. I. Tyutchev, in Bryansk

December 2, 2013 the State Archive of the Bryansk region hosts the exhibition, dedicated to the 210th anniversary of the birth of Fyodor I. Tyutchev, a poet, philosopher, diplomat.

Fyodor Ivanovich Tyutchev was born on December 5, 1803 in the village Ovstug in the family of the Bryansk landowner. Being a man of European culture, he remained Russian patriot, all his life devoted to the service of the humanist ideals.

The State Archive of the Bryansk region stores various documents on the history of the Tyutchevs: cases on demarcation of land holdings, land acquisition of the Tutchevs, boundary disputes with the neighbors, legal documents on joining the legacy documents describing land holdings, court cases on tracing runaway peasants.

The exhibition features documents with autographs:  the poet’s grandmother – Pelageya Denisovna Panyutina, poet’s wife – Ernestina Fyodorovna Tyutcheva.You can also learn about the family tree of F. I. Tyutchev composed by the Bryansk historian and ethnographer V. P. Alekseev.
