Information technology and culture: Multimedia exhibition “Van Gogh. Revived canvases” in Moscow

In early January, at the Center for Design ARTPLAY in Moscow opened a grand multimedia exhibition «Van Gogh . Revived paintings (Van Gogh Alive)».

Canvases of the artist are projected on large screens, which are located in different parts of the exhibition space: on the columns, on the floor, ceiling and walls. At the same time, the exhibition presents not only a picture of the van Gogh, but also other objects associated with his life and work.

In all, at the exposition in "Van Gogh. Revived canvases" is used about three thousand images. The exhibition features paintings that the artist painted in the period from 1880 to 1890, including during his stay in Arles.

Earlier, the exhibition "Van Gogh. Revived canvases" already took place in Budapest, Tel Aviv, Singapore and other cities. The total number of its visitors was more than a million people. In Moscow, it will run until March 26, 2014.
