World history: International Scientific-Practical Conference “The First World War in documents and book collections” to be held in Moscow

The International Scientific-Practical Conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First World War "The First World War in the documents and book collections. The study, description and publication" will be held on November 11, 2014 the Russian State Library (Moscow).

The organizers of the conference are the Russian State Library, the Russian Nobility Assembly, the Moscow Nobility Assembly, the International Fund for Slavic Literature and Culture of Cyril and Methodius.

The conference is supposed to consider issues on the history of Russia of the First World War:

- New archival discoveries, telling about the fighting on the fronts and fleets, logistics organization, the various aspects of life of Russian society;

- Military memoirs and diaries, materials of family and kinship archives;

- The new in the historiography of Russia's participation in the war;

- The publishing activity in 1914-1918 in the participating countries of the war;

- Periodicals of warring states;

- Galleries, arts materials, the music library of the First World War.
