Anniversaries of Russia: "Lermontov. Russia. World" International Congress to the 200th anniversary of the poet in St. Petersburg

"Lermontov. Russia. World" the International Congress opens on September 26, 2014, at the Pushkin House (Institute of Russian Literature, St. Petersburg), a plenary meeting of which will be held by the Deputy Minister of Culture of Russia Alla Manilova.

Within the framework of the congress are the thematic sections titled "Lermontov and St. Petersburg" and "The Museums’ Role in Preserving and Popularization of the Heritage of Mikhail Lermontov."

The special representative of the Russian President for International cultural cooperation Mikhail Shvydkoi will attend the event. Among partisipants are a member of the Commission for Culture, Arts, Creative, Cultural and Historical Heritage of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation, Director of Lermontov National Centre in Serednikovo Mikhail Lermontov, Director of the Institute of Russian Literature (Pushkin House) Vsevolod Bagno, Director of "Tarkhany" State Lermontov Museum Tamara Melnikova, Director of the Literary Museum of M. U. Lermontov (a branch of the National Museum of the Chechen Republic) Svetlana Temirbulatova.
