World History: "1914. May all Russia Rise for a Feat of Arms" exhibition in Gatchina

"1914. May all Russia Rise for a Feat of Arms" cross-museum historical and documentary exhibition goes since September 24, 2014, to January 31, 2015, at the Gatchina Palace of Leningrad region.

The objects for dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War and organized by Gatchina National Park and Museum jointly with Manege Central Exhibition Hall exhibition were offered by the largest St. Petersburg’s museums, public archives and private collectors.

In seven showrooms of Arsenal Square of Gatchina Palace public will see the paintings, photographs, maps, documents, military uniforms and weapons, the items and equipment of marching field being, the models of ships and aircrafts, flags, ordens and medals, as well as the paintings, drawings, applied arts’ pices and much more.

Most of presinted archival photographs, museum objects and artifacts from private collections is demonstrated for the first time.
