Russian regions: The bronze layout of the central part of the city in Irkutsk

The bronze layout of the central part of the city appeared in Irkutsk.

Layout, which reproduced the historic streets of the inner city with lost and existed ensembles, is performed at the scale of 1:500 of an area of 4 square meters.

According to the chief architect of Irkutsk Inna Kondratyeva, the basis for the layout was plan of the city, made on materials of 1900-1917.

On the plane of the layout are located: the Cathedral of the Epiphany, Prince Nicholas Gate, the Church of the Saviour, the Roman Catholic church, the chapel of St. Innocent, the Kazan Cathedral, the city library, Tikhvin Church, the City Council, a kindergarten, a court of justice, the Chapel of the Saviour, the hotel "Central Deco" - a total of 20 objects.

"We hope that the new attraction of Irkutsk will raise interest of citizens to the history and will just decorate the city", - participants expressed hope at the opening ceremony.
