World history: The Scientific Conference “Russian principalities, Lithuania and Horde in the system of ethno cultural relations” in the Tula region

12-14 November 2014 the Museum-Reserve "Kulikovo Field" (the Tula region) with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation conducts a scientific conference devoted to the history of relations between the Russian principalities, the Grand Duchy of Lithuania, the Golden Horde and its successors in the XIII-XVI centuries.

Back in 2007, at the conclusion of historical and archaeological readings of memory to N. I. Troitsky, a number of participants expressed the view that the Museum-Reserve "Kulikovo Field" can be a unifying center for research of ethno-cultural and political relations between the states of Eastern Europe of the XIII-XVI centuries. Tula land and land Kulikovo Field, over the centuries being on the border, not accidentally are chosen as the place for such discussions.

The conference hosts the following main topics:

- Military-political alliances and confrontations, socio-economic and cultural interaction between public entities in Eastern Europe;

- The problems of history and micro history of border areas;

- Archaeological survey of contact areas;

- Problems of military history and weapons of the XIII-XVI centuries.

As part of the conference is held a scientific-practical seminar "Russian Weaponology: Past, Present and Future", dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the outstanding students of A. N. Kirpichnikov.

The conference features leading research centers and museums in Russia and Ukraine, Belarus and Bulgaria.
