Society and Culture: All-Russian Festival and Exhibition of Folk Culture in Sochi

Organized with the support of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation All-Russian Festival and the Exhibition of Folk Culture will be carried in Sochi from the 2nd to the 4th of November 2014.

The festival will go under an informational support of the leading federal mass media and called one of the key events of the Year of Culture.

The event will bring together creative delegations, the representatives of the executive authorities and mass media of the 85 regions of the Russian Federation.

The occasion is intended to become an outstanding annual experience, regenerating and maintaining the tradition of folk culture of Russian regions and contributing into the development of modern trends and directions that can be integrated into folk art.

During the festival, at discussion and presentation round tables the main issues of the development of folk art in our country will be examined, and the creative ideas aimed at strengthening cultural ties between the regions will be exchanged; the collectives’ touring schemes in different regions and the joint projects in the sphere of folklore will be discussed; already developed interregional cultural projects will be presented.

In the agenda of the All-Russia Festival and Exhibition of Folk Culture is the final gala concert of art collectives and soloists-winners of the "All Together we are Russia" All-Russian festival of folk art.

The Festival is a large-scale cultural event, targeting a wide audience, including youth.
