History of Russia: The exhibition and conference, dedicated to the 73d anniversary of the Soviet counterattack, near Moscow

December 5, 2014 in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War will be held a conference dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of the Soviet counter-offensive and the defeat of Nazi troops near Moscow.

Organizers of the event are the Russian public organization "People's Patriotic Association "Rodina" and the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War.

December 5, 2014 on the day of the counter-offensive of the Red Army against Nazi troops in the Battle of Moscow in the Central Museum of the Great Patriotic War will be held the opening ceremony of the thematic exhibition "Siberians in the flames of war".

The exhibition is dedicated to the history of Novosibirsk and will be first unveiled in Moscow. It will tell visitors of the museum's contribution of Siberians to the Great Victory, which we will celebrate on May 9, 2015, about their role in the First World War. The leitmotif of the exhibition is the need to perpetuate the memory of the exploits of the defenders of the Motherland.

The basis of the exhibition are photographs, unique exhibits, paintings of a front-line soldier, People's Artist of the Russian Federation V. K. Chebanov, a video installation "City of the war years", as well as personal items, household items, military uniforms of the opposing sides, models of military equipment and weapons from the funds of the museum of the Great Patriotic War.
