The Year of Literature in Russia-2015: The innovation project “Picture in Library” opened in Voronezh

The I. S. Nikitin Voronezh Regional Universal Scientific Library hosts a new unique project "Picture in Library" - a component of the regional exhibition program, which the Moscow Museum of Russian Impressionism started in autumn of 2014. The program is conducted with the assistance of the All-Russia State Library for Foreign Literature, as well as regional libraries and administrations.

The innovative project "Picture in Library" changes entrenched views about the library and its purpose. The very fact that the premises of the museum of art in the library hall makes library a place of attraction of new interested audience, attracting a new circle of visitors. The show is accompanied by a picture within the framework of cultural and educational activities aimed at awakening the interest of Russian paintings and works of Russian artists in various segments of the population.

In 2015, in the Year of Literature in the Russian Federation, "Picture in Library" was the painting of the famous painter, stage designer, illustrator, designer, teacher, writer, art critic Yuri Ivanovich Pimenov "Winter in Moscow".

For visitors of the library are also organized tours to the book exhibition "Yuri Pimenov. Art to see the time" and "Masterpieces of Russian Painting", films about the artists and their works from the fund of a video hall and other events.
