Internet and history: Virtual exhibition “We have won!” is presented in the halls and the website of the Volgograd Museum of Fine arts

The virtual exhibition of works from the collections of the Museum of Contemporary History of Russia (Moscow) "We have won!" is presented until 26 May 2015 in the I. I. Mashkov Volgograd Museum of Fine Arts.

The virtual exhibition will be available for Volgograd spectator in the museum and at the website of the I. I. Mashkov Volgograd Museum of Fine Arts.

Many of the works that the audience will see for many years had been hidden in the museum. To date, they have been restored by the best specialists, and can finally be seen to anyone. Thus, visitors can see the pride of the museum - a unique gallery of portraits of marshals Victory. This series of paintings was created in 1945, by analogy with a gallery of heroes of the Patriotic War of 1812 and transferred to the Museum of the Revolution by the publishing house of cultural and educational literature.

The exhibition presents paintings devoted to the defense and the siege of Leningrad, the guerrilla movement, the Battle of Stalingrad. Works that are included in the exposition, are created during the war and post-war decades, belong to different styles and genres - but they are all united with powerful expressiveness, sincerity, high artistic skill.
