Internet and history: Internet project “Russian writers in documents of Moscow archives” to be launched in the Web

Internet project "Russian writers in documents of Moscow archives" will start on November 25, 2015 at the website of the Main Archive Department of the capital.

The exposition of the virtual exhibition includes rare documentaries about Konstantin Aksakov, Valery Bryusov, Dmitry Venevitinov, Yuri Verkhovsky, Vyacheslav Ivanov, Alexander Ostrovsky, Konstantin Simonov and other Russian writers, whose life and work in any way is connected with Moscow.

For example, the page presents the church metric books with a record of the birth of Alexander Pushkin and notification of the Moscow Spiritual consistory in Moscow nobility assembly of the entries in the register of the Church of the Intercession of the Virgin birth and baptism of Alexander Ostrovsky.

There you will see a report of the Moscow council decorum in the provincial board of the Moscow decree of Paul I on the release of Lieutenant Nikolai Novikov of Schlisselburg fortress and the return of confiscated his estate and trustee of a letter the Moscow school district D. P. Golohvastov to the council of the Imperial Moscow University on the approval of Konstantin Aksakov in the rank of master of Russian literature.

Some materials of the project are included in the State Register of unique documents of Archival fund of the Russian Federation. The funds of the Main Archive Department of the Moscow store five such documents.

The project is dedicated to the Year of Russian literature, and in the future it will be constantly updated with new material. The exposition will be available from November 25 at the website of the main archive of Moscow in the section "Popularization".
